SMARTevents

STEELbuilder’s SMARTevents manage what has happened, what action is required and what action was taken. In effect, SMARTevents provide a quality process that promotes action by the right person when it counts the most.

SMARTevents can be linked to a project, client, supplier or a combination of these so that at any point in time, you or your team can instantly know what is happening in your business, thereby avoid potentially costly errors or relationship damage.

In addition, SMARTevents can be automatically generated based on your business rules to prompt action similar to a Just In Time (JIT) reporting system.

For example: A SMARTevent has been established so that when a project status has been changed to ‘approved to supply’, an accounts person is notified to send a deposit invoice and the production manager alerted to schedule the project for production.

Quotation Builder

STEELbuilder’s quotation generator provides the flexibility to adjust your quotation when it counts or to select one of three standard quotation formats.

Quotations are created with your custom “thank you” introduction, summary of the quote with value, and custom “action” closure to the letter along with your trading terms. The quotation is preformatted with your company details, logo and message to assist in providing a professional looking document that is automatically laid out.

The longest process in documenting the quotation is the time it takes to print and send to the client.

Project

STEELbuilder’s SMARTmanager is totally project focused in that STEELbuilder keeps records of any changes (version control with the ability to revert to previous versions), events during the project and product status. This means that any questions can be answered at an instant as opposed to chasing up other people or walking out to the workshop to find out more.

STEELbuilder is designed to reduce waste throughout the business and to complete tasks in a logical, efficient and effective manner to maximise profits and improve competitiveness.

Security

STEELbuilder has been designed to be implemented company wide so that everyone in your business knows what is happening and updating progress happens at the click of a mouse.

To control access to sensitive data, STEELbuilder provides a security system based on job roles. For example, this means that your production personnel can update project status and action events but do not have access to change the agreed contract price or design.

The security system ensures that critical information such as engineering or design rules can only be changed by authorised personnel thereby reducing potential risk to your business.

Plans for development are in place to incorporate a financial accounting and payroll product to be fully integrated into STEELbuilder. Soon there will be no more data or double entry of contract value, progress claims, timesheets or contractor claims.
